Crabapples II (Malus sp.)

Crabapples are probably the most common flowering trees in New Haven. I’ve posted about them before (https://herbalramble.wordpress.com/2016/12/06/crabapples/), but here’s another series of photos of the pair standing right outside the apartment building. These were also by far the ones with the largest fruit, which ripened to a lovely maroon and would smell rather… fruity, for want of a better word, when they littered the ground afterwards. One major flaw with this series is that I don’t have a good photograph of the ripe or fallen crabapples- trust me, the answer to whether or not the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini takes good photos is a resounding no.
